Interview Question in document management

What is the best DMS (Document Management System) you would recommend
Example : Sharepoint, MyDMS, KnowledgeTree.... I am looking for a stable and economic DMS (document management system) that works in the web (internet enabled). It doesn't mather if it's Open Source or Commercial. I need some advice on it.

Which will make a better intranet? Sharepoint, Joomla, or Drupal
Just want something simple with a little document management.

Are document management web applications (like sharepoint) 508 compliant? how does that work
I can't say for all of them, but you can make SharePoint Applications that are 508 compliant. In order to build accessible tables ("Section 508"-compliant) you need to add additional fields. The Windows Narrator tool uses these fields (heading rows, columns, caption alignment and summary) to produce Tooltip message for each table cell. Users with impaired vision can hear those Tooltips as they hover over the cells with the mouse, so those will need to be managed with custom code to make it 508 compliant. RadEditor includes tools for generating "Section 508"-compliant content. Developed by Telerik – a vendor of reusable components for the Microsoft .Net platform.

Is Microsoft SharePoint Server the best for electronic document management and document sharing in a company
Sharepoint is very good, but there are other products that are just as good. We recently deployed Metadot as a document sharing solution. It does not have all of Sharepoint's features, but it has all the ones we need. We also found it easier to use. I am sure there are more options out there as well.

SharePoint Usage Reports
We’re using SharePoint as a document management solution on our corporate portal. I have tried understating what’s going on inside in terms of usage reporting… and I have found out that the SharePoint server is simply not collecting the required usage data… even if I use some log analyzers… the data is simply not there for me to crunch… can a sharepoint server be configured to collect more usage data? Anyone knows about this issue?
